Silver Rook Final: Ovidiu Bodnar vs Matthew Walsh
The Final of the Club Individual Championship contested on the same night as the Hackney match. It was a hard fought game in which Ovidiu Bodnar prevailed and as club champion he holds the Silver Rook trophy for the next year.

Hertfordshire u1850 team, captained by Matt Ball, have progressed to the Final against Greater Manchester. The match played at Coventry finished in an 8-8 tie with Greater Manchester declared winners on board count.

Hertfordshire Inter-County Matches 2023-24
Hertfordshire plays in the u1850 section of the East Anglian Chess Union (EACU) County Championship from which two teams qualify to compete in the ECF County Championship.
EACU matches comprise 16 boards and are played at King Edward VII Memorial Hall, High Street, Newmarket, Suffolk, CB8 8JP on these dates:
